Asking question is a very good way of
saying
a person that you are interested in his/her work...
People who belong to the art world knows what a colorful
image contains, but an amature or a person who is just inspired
by the colors of the image is not aware of what exactly its made of and
what massage its giving. There are a lot of questions on there
minds which remain unanswered unless someone clarifies them.
There are a few questions that I come across very often. I have
tried to list and answer them. In case you have any new ones please
feel free to post them at suresh.choudharyATgmail.com I will try to
answer them too or add them here as the condition might be.
Why you paint
Whenever I see a blank canvas .. I feel there is something that the
canvas is trying to convey to me. As soon as I put my first
stroke of
color on the canvas it becomes alive .. and it itself starts a
conversation with the paintings. Suggesting me .. what it needs
sometimes this is for just a week or so sometimes it is for Months
together.
What happens when
Someone enters an exhibition
(FAQ )
As soon as someone enters an exhibition, he can not understand
everything.
Looking at painting
they sometimes can not find
Ram and sometimes
can not find ..Rahim and sometimes they
can not find the Bux0m beauty which they were expecting to
see. Mostly
they come out of exhibition saying- “I can not understand anything”.
Those who are serious
about art, they try to be
involved
with the paintings. They understand that these are the paintings which
have takes
days, or weeks or even months to complete. Its unrealistic to
understand it in
just 10 seconds and move ahead, as then neither
the painting would like to say anything to you, nor could you
understand even
if it was trying to say something to you.
You
must try to
give time to let the feeling of the artist seep inside you.
Canvas can
not speak to you unless you make friends with it. and give it some
time. For me
a good painting is something which is alive.
